Volcano Arenal Tours

Volcano Arenal

From its base at night, see the glowing lava flow down this perfectly cone shaped volcano.  This very 'live' volcano came back to life in 1968.   From the lake reservoir at the foot of Arenal, explosions can be heard all day.  Nearby, the beautiful Tabacon Hot Springs Resort has several large hot mineral pools for swimming, a hot waterfall, restaurant and changing facilities all surrounded by tropical rainforest.

Volcano Arenal  -  Lake Arenal  -  Tabacon Hot Springs Tour

This one day tour passes through the town of San Ramon and continues on one of the most scenic roads in all of Costa Rica.  Be prepared for a long day (over 200 miles of travel).  After this beautiful ride through the Central Valley, the tour arrives at the very active Volcano Arenal.  Towering high above Lake Arenal, the spectacular ambiance of this very lovely area is captivating.  Great views of the volcano are available almost from any point in the neighborhood of La Fortuna, the closest town to the majestic volcanic cone..  From there, the tour continues on to the Lake Arenal and then to the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort for some relaxation, enjoying the hot mineral springs and pools while still keeping the volcano within view.

This Volcano Arenal, One Day Combination tour departs from the hotel at 9:40 am and returns back to the hotel at 11:00 pm, giving all guests the opportunity to view the Volcano in the darkness of night. This tour includes lunch, refreshments and the entrance into the Tabacon Hot Springs.
