The La Iguana golf course at the Los Suenos Resort and Marina is a unique championship 18 hole course designed by Ted Robinson. La Iguana is situated alongside an exotic rain forest with ocean views on several holes. Monkeys, macaws and flocks of parrots can often be seen nesting and feeding in the neighboring tropical trees.
Los Suenos Ocean and Golf Resort, and the La Iguana Golf Course is a pleasant one and a half hour drive from San Jose. Built on the northern shore of Herradura Bay, the beach is one of the safest beaches in Costa Rica for swimming, as well as for long walks and beach combing. Numerous seafood restaurants conveniently provide relief from the sun beneath the shade of the palm trees lining this spectacular horseshoe-shaped Pacific Ocean bay.
This uniquely landscaped 6,698 yard course is also home to exotic native plants, banana trees, orchids and more than 150 species of birds and wildlife.
